In celebration of Black History Month, the Chuck Burch Scholarship Fund (CBSF) would like to recognize the Saturday contributors to Skating for Scholarships.
We thank the Board Members of the Black Roller Skating Federation (BRSF), Dr.David Stewart, Leo White, CeCe Altius, Latoya Phillips, Amirah Palmer, Helen Wolfe, & Clyde (Ice from Philly) McKoy, special workshop leaders, Chuck Williams Wbsatv, Monique Thompson-Hawkins, Daniel Hawkins, Tanya Taylor Hill, Robyn Young and Forum Roller World for hosting the lessons for Skating for Scholarships 2024 where we taught on Skate Styles for all levels.
On Saturday night, the Chuck Burch Scholarship Fund hosted the MAIN EVENT. Zach Humpries (Djgg Atx BeatMaker), The Skate Sistas; Loretta Clark, Edrina Newman, Lynetta Mitchell, Elisha Crossley Medjo, Charmaine Miller (Host coordinators) Alfonzo Mornes, Kyler Reese, NyIssa Matlock (Volunteers) and Gil Hudson & the Staff of Redbird Skateland were all part of the team that helped us roll for a cause, raffle off another TV, present night 4 of the DFW Skaters Showcase and most importantly, award $2,000 in Scholarships to Joshua Franklin, DeWaylan Bonner, Jaylon Blaylock, and Caleb Gurnell. They are the reason why the Scholarship Fund does what it does.
The entire team above is part of the Village that makes a difference in “Education for the Next Generation.”
